about

One of the nights between recording/work sessions, GBB and Enkrypt were up kind of taking a second to kick back and chill. A lively conversation about nothing and everything led to talk about the people they all used to be years ago as wild youth. Serious, scary and hilarious all at the same time, the song was kind of written from the view of what Tone and Cal would be talking about if they were writing a song about partying from teenaged days over this beat. The differences of how we probably grew up and how kids today experience growing up. How some of things we did were so much easier and at the same time much more difficult.

Recorded at Zero Dogg Thirty a week after the trip. Written a day prior to the session. AO came through to check in on the session and ended up lending additional vocals throughout song. (He also ended up writing to the unfinished "15 mins." that night).

lyrics

(Cal Verse)
No ends for real but we alright
No place to go so we hold tight
So we quick rat pack the homie's ride
And go get ours for the whole night
For sure we gonna score, youthful zeal
Might be that good ole student deal, for real
No ID so you know it's a steal ya feel
Jump in the ride full stride as the tires peel
And we out that, and we on a high
Swigs off the bottle as the smoke will rise
Laughing as we smashing, up all night
Cheap thrills with the squad until the first light

(Hook)
Just me, my mans and my lady friends
We getting twisted up like some rubber bands
Eternal youth like the fam is from Neverland
So I demand your hands up if you understand

Just me, my mans and my lady friends
We getting twisted up like some rubber bands
Eternal youth like the fam is from Neverland
So I demand your hands up if you understand

(Tone Verse)
Yo, it's going down to night, man, what's the report
Yo, the weed man's coming through, let's wait on the porch
So we waiting on the porch, so we smoking Newports
See the homie rolling down the hill on his skateboard
He pull an E & J up out his backpack
Gave him hand slaps and said, 'what's up with that'
He said, 'what's up with that," as he pointed to the weed sack
So we match and catch a fade like we don't know how to act like that

(Tone Bridge)
And we bring that shit back like that
Like we don't know how to act like that
And we bring that shit back like that
Like we don't know how to act

(Cal Verse 2)
They can't lock me up, they can't hold me down
I might throw it up or might throw it down
If we acting wild or we acting clown
Nowhere to go so let's just roll around

(Tone Bridge)
Like that
And we bring that shit back like that
Like we don't know how to act like that
And we bring that shit back like that
Like we don't know how to act

(Hook)
Just me, my mans and my lady friends
We getting twisted up like some rubber bands
Eternal youth like the fam is from Neverland
So I demand your hands up if you understand
